Warnings
Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Not suitable for consumption. Do not use on varicose veins, moles, broken, irritated or sunburnt skin, or on mucous membranes. Avoid contact with eyes. Check the wax temperature before use. Overheated wax can cause burns.
Important Instructions for Use
People with diabetes or circulatory disorders, as well as those taking oral retinoids or using topical retinoids, should avoid waxing.
Skin may be more sensitive during pregnancy and in older people. It is recommended to seek medical advice before use.
If your skin is sensitive or prone to allergic reactions, first test the wax on a small area of skin and then wait 24 to 48 hours. Do not use the product if skin irritation or any other adverse reaction occurs.
Thoroughly cleanse the skin to be treated before and after waxing. Temporary redness after waxing may occur and is normal. If you experience discomfort, itching, a burning sensation or bruising, apply a cold compress. Symptoms should subside within 24 hours. If they do not, seek medical advice.
For at least 24 hours after waxing, do not expose the treated skin to direct sunlight, heat treatments (e.g. saunas or hot tubs), artificial UV radiation, heavy sweating (e.g. from intense exercise) or fragranced products (e.g. deodorant, perfume or aftershave). Also avoid rich oils and creams (e.g. massage cream) during this period.
Hygiene When Waxing
Below you will find an excerpt of important hygiene measures for waxing. This list is not exhaustive.
- Hand and surface disinfection: Thoroughly disinfect your hands, work surfaces and reusable work materials before and after waxing using suitable disinfectants.
- Consistent use of disposable gloves: Wear disposable gloves, e.g. nitrile or vinyl gloves, during waxing. Use a new pair of gloves for each person / each client.
- Reduction of possible microbial contamination in the wax heater: To reduce possible microbial contamination of the wax in the container, the wax can be heated to over 70 °C when fully melted. Afterwards, stir the wax thoroughly and allow it to cool to the appropriate application temperature.
Important: Never apply wax to the skin at this high temperature. Always check the wax temperature before applying – there is a risk of burns. - Prevention of cross-contamination – “No Double-Dipping”: Use a new disposable wooden spatula each time you take wax from the container. Never dip a spatula that has already come into contact with the skin back into the wax. Only touch the wax in the container with clean, unused spatulas.
- Proper disposal: After use, dispose of used wax, non-woven strips, disposable spatulas, gloves and other disposable materials properly in the designated waste.
Note for professional users: If you use the wax professionally, also follow the legal, regulatory and regional hygiene requirements that apply to your business.
Quick-Start Guide
PINK Next Generation Wax was developed for particularly effective and at the same time comfortable hair removal. It can reliably grip even very short hairs from approx. 1 mm in length, making it particularly suitable for precise waxing. Thanks to its comparatively low application temperature, the treatment may also feel more comfortable than with conventional warm waxes. For the best possible results, the correct waxing technique is essential.
For optimal results, we recommend the appropriate PINK application technique and the following steps. Click here to access the free online waxing courses from the PINK Waxing Academy and learn the application techniques step by step.
1. HEAT THE WAX
-
Fill the wax heater to approximately one-third of its capacity, and no more than halfway.
-
Heat the wax in the PINK Depilatory Heater (200 ml, 450 ml or 800 ml) for approximately 20 minutes at setting 3.5 to 4.0.
-
Then stir the wax thoroughly with a wooden spatula.
-
At the recommended application temperature (approx. 39 to 42 °C), the wax has a honey-like consistency, is easy to pick up with the spatula, and does not drip or form strings.
- Stir the wax regularly during use so that the temperature remains as even as possible.
- Check the wax temperature before applying. The wax should not feel too hot.
2. PREPARE THE SKIN
- Apply 1–2 pumps of PINK SkinClean Lotion to a cotton pad and thoroughly clean the skin.
- Then carefully pat the skin dry with a cosmetic tissue to help ensure good adhesion of the wax.
- For dry or sensitive skin, apply one pump of PINK PreCare Oil sparingly and massage it into the skin. If necessary, blot away any excess product with a cosmetic tissue.
- For skin that perspires heavily, a small amount of PINK Skin Powder can additionally be applied in a thin layer.
3. APPLY THE WAX
- Hold the skin taut.
- Apply the wax with a wooden spatula using even pressure in one direction. The correct application technique helps ensure that even very short hairs are gripped by the wax.
- Hold the spatula as upright as possible, like a pen. This can create a slightly thicker edge at the end of the wax patch, making it easier to remove later.
- Depending on the area of the body, several wax patches can be applied at the same time. If necessary, waxing can be repeated several times.
4. REMOVE THE WAX
- Wait until the applied wax has set sufficiently and can be removed easily.
- Hold the skin taut again.
- Remove the wax patch against the direction of hair growth, keeping it as flat and close to the skin as possible – do not pull upwards.
- Immediately after removal, use your hand to apply gentle counter-pressure to the treated skin.
5. AFTERCARE
- After waxing, apply 1–2 pumps of PINK SkinClean Lotion to a cotton pad and use it to thoroughly cleanse the skin.
- Depending on the skin’s needs, follow with the suitable PINK AfterCare products.
- Aftercare helps to soothe and moisturise stressed skin and provide intensive care after waxing.
- PINK AfterCare Cream can be applied to the treated skin to care for, soothe and moisturise it.
- For a pleasantly cooling and soothing effect, PINK SkinCool Gel can also be used. Do not apply to mucous membranes or around the eyes.
- For sensitive skin, PINK SkinCalm Spray can also be used as an additional care step.
