Questions about Next Generation Wax

What is the difference between Next Generation Wax and conventional or classical waxes?
Next Generation Wax is a synthetic wax of the latest generation. Unlike other waxes, it grabs even the shortest hair from already 1 mm. It can be applied both against and in the direction of hair growth. With a working temperature of just over 40° C, it is particularly gentle on the skin and pleasant for the customer- even on sensitive parts of the body such as the face and intimate area. Due to its unique composition, the wax patches remain elastic for a very long time – they do not break the skin and can be easily removed without paper waxing strips. Next Generation Wax is free of beeswax (Cera Alba) and rosin. It contains no animal ingredients and is therefore also suitable for vegans. Its innovative pearl shape facilitates dosing and application. In addition, Next Generation Wax is very economical: with just one bag, you can wax about 100 eyebrows!
On which body parts do I use Next Generation Wax?
Next Generation Wax is extremely gentle on the skin and therefore ideally suited for use on delicate parts of the body. In sensitive areas such as the face, underarms or bikini zone, waxes should also be kept at a comfortable temperature. Next Generation Wax is applied at just over 40° C. Hairs on the face are usually only a few millimeters long, while eyebrows and chin hair can also be very bristly. Also, under the arms or in the intimate area, the hairs are often thick and grow in different directions. Next Generation Wax grabs
even the most stubborn hair from 1 mm length and can be used multidirectionally. Customers prefer wax with a pleasant scent, especially on the face. Next Generation Waxes are available in 6 wonderful fragrances.

Next Generation Wax can also be used on larger body areas. If the hair is very short or with very pain sensitive customers, it often makes sense to use Next Generation Wax for certain parts. Here are the situations when Next Generation Wax is also used for large areas:

  • If your customer simply feels more comfortable waxing with Next Generation Wax in combination with the protective PINK Pre-Waxing Oil (e.g. chest or back in men)
  • For sensitive parts of the body (e.g. nipples)
  • If the hair length is shorter than 2 mm
  • On some body parts where modelling or shaping is needed (e.g. neck area)
Why are no paper waxing strips needed when working with Next Generation Wax?
Next Generation Wax is a premium quality wax and one of the best professsional waxes on the market. In the beauty industry they are also known as stripless, hard or brazilian waxes. Their composition allows these waxes to harden within a few seconds. Because of that, they can be removed without paper waxing strips. Next Generation Wax remains flexible for a very long time due to its unique composition. This allows the application of many patches simultaneously. The patches will not break when pulled off even when they remain on the skin for a longer period of time.
What are the benefits of Next Generation Wax for me as a beauty professional?
As a beauty professional, you can incorporate waxing with Next Generation Hot Wax into any of your beauty services. Thanks to its unique composition, this wax removes even the finest and shortest hairs from already 1mm. Next Generation Wax remains elastic for a very long time – so you can work comfortably with multiple patches in parallel. In addition, no paper waxing strips are needed to remove the wax. For all these reasons, the treatment is very quick and easy. Thanks to the low application temperature, you can also depilate your customers more pleasantly and gently than ever before.
Are all Next Generation Waxes the same?
All Next Generation Wax variants are the same in application and result. They differ in scent, colour and nourishing oil additive. Depending on your own preference, season or clientele, you can choose between 6 different scents. For example, Mr. Grey is a variant specifically designed for male customers.
Can I continue to use my old wax heaters?
Yes, you can. Your wax heaters temperature should be adjustable, the device should be suitable for continous use and it should be able to keep the temperature constant. For professional work, we advise against heating the wax in the microwave or in a baby bottle warmer. If you need a new wax heater, there is a selection of professional wax heaters available in our shop.

Questions about PINK Strip Wax?

For which body parts do I use PINK Strip Wax?
PINK Strip Wax is used for hair removal on large areas. It allows quick, effective and economical hair removal and can be used with hair from already 2 mm.
Is PINK Strip Wax from the tub the same as the roll-on variant?
Yes, both PINK Strip Wax variants are the same in composition. Only the application technology differs. You can choose whether you prefer to work with a handy roll-on or apply the wax with a spatula. In our Waxing Academy Trainings, you can work with both techniques and find out which one you like better.
Can I use PINK Strip Wax for men?
PINK Strip Wax is intended for use on large areas. This wax removes hair from already 2 mm and is ideal for waxing men’s back and chest as it can remove even the most stubborn and strong hair.
Why is PINK Strip Wax the right choice for large areas?
For large area waxing, it is important that the treatment is as quick and pleasant as possible for the customer. At the same time, you should be able to use a small amount of material. PINK Strip Wax is enriched with oils. It is, therefore, very fluid and pleasant to apply. The material consumption is very low: with 30 – 40 grams of PINK Strip Wax, you can remove hair from two complete lower legs.
Can I use my current paper waxing strips?
Yes, you can. It is, of course, important to pay attention to quality and efficiency of all your products including the paper waxing strips. Good paper waxing strips do not lint or tear and absorb a lot of wax. With only five of our paper waxing strips, you can wax two lower legs including knees.

Questions about PINK Sugar Pastes?

What is the advantage of PINK Sugar Pastes?
The concept of the high-quality PINK sugar pastes is deliberately kept simple. With the PINK Sugar Paste
“Soft” and the firmer PINK Sugar Paste “Strong” you can mix any desired consistency in your hand. You can thus adjust the consistency to each room temperature and the body area to be depilated. Our sugar pastes are bright pink due to an attractive lipstick-dye.
Why does the PINK Sugar Paste stay soft and supple for so long?
Our PINK Sugar Paste Soft contains Acaciae Senegal. This natural substance keeps the consistency of the sugar paste stable. This allows you to work with the sugar paste in your hand for a long time without having to replace it again and again.
Do I need to heat the sugar pastes?
Yes, the sugar pastes must be heated to a pleasant temperature of approx. 36 – 38° C.n You can use our PINK Depilatory Heater Professional Edition 1000 ml at a setting of 1.5 to 2.
Can I offer sugaring and waxing in parallel?
Yes, you can. The strength of the sugar paste is its naturalness. Its weakness shows when removing a very short and bristly hair as well as with sweaty or oily skin. Compared to sugaring, PINK waxes are very easy to use.  There is nothing wrong with offering both hair removal techniques if customers specifically request treatment with sugar paste.
I already offer sugaring; do I have to attend a training course with you if I want to start waxing, too?
If you already have experience with sugaring, you are very familiar with the topics of skin tightening, positioning of the customer, customer communication and consulting. This makes it easier for you to get started with waxing. The actual technique of sugaring, however, is completely different from working with wax. It would thus be helpful to learn the different application and removal techniques in one of our PINK Waxing Trainings or by using our Waxing Manuals.
Is sugaring gentler than waxing?
By applying the PINK Pre-Waxing Oil which creates a protective film between skin and wax, hair removal, for example with our Next Generation Wax, is just as skin-friendly as sugaring. The application temperature for sugaring is approx. 37° C, while waxing with Next Generation Wax is just over 40° C. Customers experience both techniques as pleasant and painless.

Questions about hygiene, skin and special cases

How do i ensure the hygiene of my wax?
In order to avoid the contamination of the Next Generation Wax, disposable wooden spatulas are used for application, and they are disposed of after a single skin contact. Alternatively, one side of the wooden spatula can be used and then wrapped with a piece of tissue. You can then use the other side of the wooden spatula. More information on this topic can be found in our Waxing Manuals, available in our Online Shop.
Can there be skin reactions after waxing?
On the treated area of the skin, small red dots may appear immediately after waxing, but they usually disappear after a few hours. This is a completely normal reaction of the skin, since the hair is emoved togeher with a hair bulb, thus expanding the pore/follicle for a short period of time. The more often the hair is depilated with Next Generation Wax, the finer the hair and less hair growth. The red dots will also get smaller and the pores less visiible. The skin becomes smoother and more beautiful with each treatment. More information on this topic can be found in our Waxing Manuals, available in our Online Shop.
What can I do if my customer is allergic?
Do not worry! From time to time, there are customers that are allergic to waxing. This skin reaction is usually not triggered by any ingredients in the wax but is purely a reaction to hair removal. Symptoms include redness, wheals and itching. They occur immediately (usually between 1 -30 minutes) after waxing. There is no purulent inflammation. Customers who are prone to allergies are more likely to be affected. To avoid reactions, an allergy test can be performed 48 hours prior to the waxing. If your client is allergic and the symptoms do not quickly improve(within 12-24 hours), refer him to a doctor or pharmacist.
How and why do ingrown hairs occur?
Ingrown hairs can often be caused by excessive cornification. The hair follicle can be clogged up by dead or
excess skin cells. That forces the hair inside it to grow sideways under the skin, rather than upward and
outward. It usually results in itchy and painful dermatitis.

Frequently, ingrown hairs don’t occur until after the 2nd or 3rd treatment. This is due to the finer hairs which have less power to get through the clogged follicles.

A trained eye will easily spot a customer’s tendency to develop ingrown hairs. To prevent clogged pores, it would be the best to recommend regular exfoliation to your client, as well as applying moisturizing lotion on a daily basis.

What should the customer pay attention to after waxing?
There is nothing more important after hair removal, than a proper skin care. It takes several hours after
waxing for a skin to completely regenerate. To avoid possible skin reactions, customers should follow these
rules for the next 12-24 hours after the treatment:

  • Do not apply any perfumed products
  • Do not use rich creams
  • Do not take a hot bath or shower and avoid swimming, sunbathing, using tannng bed and intercourse
  • Avoid excessive contact with depilated area
  • Wear loose clothing to allow the skin to breathe

Your customer can find these and many more information about the waxing treatment with PINK in our flyer, available from our online shop.

Is intimate waxing possible during a period?
Waxing during menstruation is not a problem. Have tampons and cleaning cloths prepared in your toilet area, so that the customer can freshen up for intimate waxing and use a fresh tampon. However, if the client experiences her period as very painful, it would be better to postpone intimate waxing. Further information about the most important Waxings Do’s & Dont’s can be found in our flyer, which you can order in our Online Shop.
Can pregnant women go to intimate waxing?
If a client wishes to wax during pregnancy, this should always be agreed with her gynecologist or midwife.

Whilst there is no evidence that waxing during pregnancy could be dangerous, the risk of infection in the genital area during that time is generally increased. Therefore, it should always be individuallly assessed whether the general conditions of the respective pregnant woman allows waxing. In most cases ,the gynecologist and midwives approve the waxing.

At what age can you have an intimate waxing done?
Many studios offer waxing from the age of 16. For teens, special conditions apply in most studios. Before the
first waxing, every underage customer has to present a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.
